With almost 20 years of experience, she guides clients in transitioning wealth, businesses and the values that drive their success. Jennifer is passionate about supporting families to make a meaningful impact in the world.

Having resided, worked and raised children across multiple cultures in North America, Europe and the Middle East, Jennifer brings invaluable insights to her work with international families. She helps clients enhance intergenerational collaboration, improve family dynamics, integrate diverse cultural influences and strengthen family governance practices.

Jennifer also inspires the rising generation, women, and sibling/cousin teams to thrive through personal and leadership development.

Employing assertiveness, practicality and action-orientation combined with empathy and intuition, Jennifer inspires, encourages and challenges people to be better and do better together.

Before founding ONIDA Family Advisors Ltd. in 2006, Jennifer’s entrepreneurial journey began with active involvement in her family’s Canadian hospitality venture.  More recently, she supported her husband in his role as the founder of an ultra-luxury global startup.

Jennifer is a Fellow of the Family Firm Institute (FFI), holds the FFI GEN Advanced Certificate in Family Business Advising (ACFBA) and has been a highly rated faculty member of FFI’s Global Education Network for the past nine years.  She facilitates in Campden Education’s The Family Wealth Essentials Series and serves as Co-Chair of the Cambridge Forum on Multi-Generational Family Wealth & Leadership.

Deeply influenced by the evolving paradigm of family wealth advising known as Wealth 3.0, Jennifer’s professional ethos emphasises the intricate dynamics within families, employing a strengths-based approach to empower and support them effectively.

Jennifer is impact-driven and has contributed her time and leadership abilities in various stages of her personal and professional journey. She served on several tourism boards at both provincial and national levels in Canada, and later became a member of the Family Firm Institute’s Board of Directors. Presently, Jennifer is Chair of the Parent Teacher Association in her children’s international school.

Jennifer lives in Malta with her husband and two children. An avid sailor and outdoor adventurer, she enjoys exploring new places and cultures with her family.

During World War II, my grandmother Grace and her husband Dickie Dominy played host to political and military dignitaries at the Marine Hotel in Llandudno, Wales.

My father Maury East joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served as a Wellington bomber pilot during World War II.

In 1949, Maury's venture into the wilderness resort business began with his marriage to Bobbie Hill. Bobbie’s parents, Gordon and Marion Hill, were eco-tourism pioneers in Northern Ontario at Limberlost Lodge, now Limberlost Forest and Wildlife Reserve.

In 1959, Maury rejuvenated a historic lakeside resort, Muskoka Sands, now known as Taboo Muskoka.

My parents, Maury and Annabelle East, operated Killarney Mountain Lodge from 1962 to 2015, pioneering the fusion of comfort and adventure.

Driven by a belief in the value of outdoor adventures for learning, Maury established Silver Peak Camp in 1964 and co-founded Rosseau Lake School (now Rosseau Lake College) in 1967. The school stands as a testament to his legacy, offering experiential education ahead of its time.
